The Crescenta Valley High School JROTC Academic Bowl team finished third in the Air Force division recently at the national competition in Washington, D.C.

The team was 6-1 on day one of the competition and was the No. 2 seed going into the playoffs. The team won its quarterfinal game but then unfortunately lost in the semifinals. 

The team was accompanied by Coach Leland Waters, Leadership Education instructor for CA-882 and Assistant Principal Dr. Adriana Pestonji.  

The four members of the team were cadets Captain Andrew Jean, Christine Kim, Ethan Kim and Vela Benedicto.
