The YMCA of the Foothills is ready to launch another year of the Tribes program (formerly known as Indian Guides). Tribes are formed based on the gender and grade level of the child and typically contain between six to 12 father-child pairs. Participants will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships by joining a unique Tribe with other dads and kids which will participate in activities, games, camping trips, ceremonies and family adventures. Monthly activities include pumpkin carving, Pinewood Derby, roller-skating, pancake breakfast, Camp Fox and much more.
The Tribes program is open to dads and their kids in grades pre-K through fifth grade. The program runs from September to June and registration opens Aug. 1. For more information on the program, contact Craig Strazzeri at cstrazzeri@ymcafoothills.org or visit www.ymcafoothills.org/tribes.
