ALG Offers SAT Help
Assistance League Glendale is offering SAT seminars for $60. Glendale Unified certificated teachers will prepare students for testing with specialemphasis on the NEW SAT exam. This is not enrollment for the actual SAT exam. There will be eight sessions over a four-week period. Monday and Wednesday classes are from Sept. 5 through Sept. 28; Tuesday and Thursday classes are from Sept. 6 through Sept. 29. The sessions are held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 314 E. Harvard, Glendale. Registration forms are available by going online at www.alglendale.org/sat.htm. Annual Korean Barbecue Fundraiser Planned Benefiting CVHS Instrumental Music Dept.
Crescenta Valley High School’s Instrumental Music Dept. is having its biggest fundraiser of the year – the 8th Annual Korean BBQ Fundraiser – on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the CVHS quad. All are invited for a fun evening of Korean barbecue, live music performances featuring the CV jazz band, traditional Korean performers, and new this year is a silent auction. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance from any CVHS instrumental music student or from the CVHS Music Office until Wednesday, Sept. 7. Tickets will be available on the day of the event until sold out. One-hundred percent of the profits from this fundraiser go directly to support CVHS Instrumental Music Dept.
