Inaugural Golf Classic to Benefit St. James, Holy Redeemer
St. James Elementary and Holy Redeemer Middle schools are holding their first golf tournament to raise funds for campus improvement projects. Spots are still available for the inaugural golf classic that will be held on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland.

The tournament format is a shotgun scramble that begins at 10 a.m. Single-player entry is $200 and includes lunch and a dinner banquet.

Proceeds will go to improving the playground at St. James Elementary and upgrading and maintaining Foley Field at Holy Redeemer Middle School.

ALG Offers SAT Help
Assistance League Glendale is offering SAT seminars from Sept. 21 to Oct. 17 for $45. There will be eight two-hour sessions. The sessions are held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 314 E. Harvard, Glendale. Tribes Program Gets Ready for Fall Launch
The YMCA of the Foothills Tribes Program is having a new member event on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Y. The Tribes program (formerly known as Indian Guides fosters the relationship between dads and their kids.
