Parents, students (and a duck) found at BTS

Crescenta Valley High School students and their parents filled the school’s quad for Back to School night on Thursday, Sept. 16. Before parents rushed from classroom to classroom following their child’s daily schedule, they ate hamburgers, hotdogs or sausage sandwiches at a barbecue to benefit Prom Plus. They then satisfied their sweet tooth with baked goods provided by the Armenian Parent’s Club. The CVHS band and school’s choir entertained as two large Falcons (the CVHS mascot) danced with a Kiwanis Duck promoting the upcoming Duck Splash.
Then it was time to head to the classrooms and listen to teachers explain what their children will be facing this school year.  Parents raced up and down stairs and through hallways while stopping only long enough to check the campus map they had clutched in their hand.
