The Crescenta Valley High School Instrumental Music Dept. powered through about 200 vehicles Sept. 22 during their car wash fundraiser.
The musicians turned car wash experts for the day were able to clean so many cars thanks to teamwork and power washers. The line of cars began early in the morning and lasted throughout the day.
The CVIM Booster Club parents were on hand to help supervise this important and much needed fundraiser.
The kids, and their parents, help support the department in a variety of ways. Money raised during the car wash will go for entrance fees to festivals and competitions, transportation to and from those competitions and uniform cleaning.
“We also [pay for] instrument repair and do purchase some instruments,” said Bryce Hancock, treasurer for CVIM. “And we purchase new music.”
