‘Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery’ at CVHS
Crescenta Valley High School Performing Arts Dept. presents “The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery” this weekend.
Performances are at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5, 6 and 7. Tickets are $8 for students, $12 for adults.
Performances are in the MacDonald Auditorium at 4400 Ramsdell Ave. in La Crescenta.

Pancake Breakfast Benefits School
Fremont Elementary School at 3320 Las Palmas Ave., Glendale 91208 will be having its annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
For only $5 you get pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee and musical performances by the Rosemont Middle School Orchestra. All proceeds benefit the school.
All members of the community are welcome to attend!

Apps Available for PSHA Grants
The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (PSHA) president, Marilyn Anderson, announced that applications for gifts and grants are now available on the PSHA website at www.PasadenaShowcase.org. The deadline for submitting an application is Oct. 6.
Last May, PSHA awarded $590,000 to 63 local and regional non-profit organizations and schools. The proceeds from the 2016 Showcase House enabled the organization to continue its legacy of funding music programs throughout the community. During its 69-year history, PSHA has donated more than $21 million to outstanding organizations that enrich the lives of countless people and support the arts throughout the community.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to work in the Snack Shack during the home football games at Moyse Stadium (Glendale High) this season. There are six scheduled home games and volunteers are needed for the following shifts at each game: Set up – from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; JV game – from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; varsity game from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; clean up – from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Volunteers must be high school students and adults. Volunteer hours will be given; volunteers must check in at the beginning and end of their shifts, and bring volunteer forms (Service C). Volunteers will also be provided with a drink and snack.
