The Boy Scouts of Troop 317 held their Court of Honor on Oct. 16 at Healy Hall of Holy Redeemer Church in Montrose. This was to celebrate and acknowledge the many achievements of the Scouts over the past few months. Numerous merit badges, representing what the Scouts have learned and worked hard for, were presented to Ethan Arellano, Colin Carr, Brennan Chua, Silas Fitzgerald, Rowan Fitzgerald, Aedan Molina, Allister Quizon, Sean Salazar, John Simmons and Curtis Yun.

Rank advancements were bestowed by Scoutmaster David Januzik to Scout John Simmons, Rowan Fitzgerald and Joaquin Franco; second class ranks to Ethan Arellano and Colin Carr; Star Scout to David Januzik; and Life Scout to Aedan Molina.

The Presentation of Colors was done by Senior Patrol Leader Alexander Sowers, opening ceremony by Committee Chairperson Dawn Januzik and closing prayers by Ethan Arellano. In attendance were Assistant Scoutmasters Dan Molina, Roly Quizon, Jose Salazar, Vinis Salazar, families and friends.
