Rummage Sale for Cadet Program

On Saturday, Nov. 5 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Crescenta Valley High School cafeteria the CV Junior ROTC Booster Club is holding a rummage sale with the proceeds benefiting the Jr. ROTC program at CVHS.

The public is invited to participate and to contribute any items of value that might benefit the efforts of the Booster Club to raise funds for the JROTC program. Donations should be delivered to the Crescenta High School Cafeteria on Friday, Nov. 4 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The CVHS cadets in 2016 were national finalists in the Air Force JROTC drill and ceremony team competition and JROTC college bowl academic team competition. Most of the activities and programs of the JROTC program are financed by the Air Force and the school district but many of the expenses for the cadets’ activities have to be covered by the cadets themselves.

The CVHS cafeteria is located at the corner of Glenwood and Prospect avenues in La Crescenta.

Gala to Benefit VV

Save the date! The VV Education Foundation will be hosting its first ever “Gratitude Gala” on Saturday, Nov. 12 benefitting Valley View Elementary.

This event will include a cocktail hour, dinner and an auction.

It is being held at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dress is cocktail/business attire.
