On Saturday, Oct. 8, students of MTC/Master’s Taekwondo Club competed in the 2022 United States Junior Taekwondo Championship held at Azusa Pacific University.
MTC sent 12 students, ranging in ages 8 to 14, to the event. Eight of the MTC students competed in Olympic-style sparring with fighters from across Southern California. For the first time in the school’s history, all eight of MTC’s competitors won a gold medal. Six of the students participated in the poomsae (form) event and all six won medals including three gold and three silver.
