“Evita,” one of Andrew Lloyd’s Weber’s best-loved musicals, is coming to the stage at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy on Nov. 10-13.

“Evita” is based on the true story about the rise of the controversial Eva Peron, a poor Argentinean girl who grows up to be the wife of Juan Peron, the president of Argentina. Despite her fame and fortune, her compassion makes her a hero among the poor and working classes of Argentina.

FSHA senior Kelsey Shaw will play the infamous Eva Peron, while Shaw’s classmate Katie Polley will play the mistress of Juan Peron. Shaw starred as Velma Kelly in “Chicago” last year at FSHA.

Junior college grads Miguel Cardenas and Israel Cortez will play Peron and Che respectively.

Three FSHA students will play with the professional orchestra for the musical, including Amy Lee and Tracy Zhang on violin, and Jesse Reed on drums.

Tickets are available on line for $15 at www.ticketguys.com or for $17 at the door. Opening night tickets, which include a reception, are $20 each. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.
