Jog-a-thon at Dunsmore

Runners made their way around the track during the jog-a-thon.

Dunsmore Elementary School PTA held its annual jog-a-thon in October, hoping to raise money, promote physical fitness, build school spirit, instill a sense of accomplishment and create a fun and memorable way to support education at Dunsmore.

The PTA’s goal was to raise enough money to cover all field trip transportation costs for the school year.

All grade levels participated for 10 minutes and students ran, jogged or walked with their classmates. Prizes were given for the boys and girls in each grade level who ran the most laps. Parent volunteers helped with keeping track of the laps as students passed designated stations around the playground. Students were encouraged to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, too.
