Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy raised over $50,000 at its annual golf tournament at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale on Oct. 11, according to golf chair Sunder Ramani.

The funds go toward scholarships at the all-girls Catholic high school in La Cañada Flintridge.

The grand hole-in-one prize of the day was a 2010 Prius, sponsored by Mike Smith of Bob Smith Toyota.

Golf was followed by an auction and dinner, highlighted by a brief address from Barbara Johansing Buckley, a 1945 FSHA alum and sister of tournament founder Harry G. Johansing Jr.

“So many of the people involved in making this tournament successful have daughters that graduated several years ago,” said Ramani. “It just shows that you never really leave the hill.”
