On Nov. 22, Chamlian Armenian School’s Parent Support Committee (PSC) hosted the much-anticipated Thanksgiving luncheon for the students. The feast was complete with turkey, mashed potatoes and all its trimmings.
The students got into the holiday spirit as they gave thanks for their blessings with the first and second grade students wearing hand-made Pilgrim hats and bonnets.
Keeping in the spirit of the season, Chamlian’s PSC donated Thanksgiving meals to three Armenian families in need through the Armenian Relief Society (ARS).
Organizers attribute the success of the event in part to the many hours Chamlian parents spent preparing and serving the meals to the more than 450 students and 50 teachers. Appreciation was also extended to the many Chamlian families who donated to the event by participating in the “sponsor a turkey” program.
