The Lincoln Elementary School Student Council recognized local veterans on Nov. 10 at the school. Veterans were thanked at the Veterans Day flag ceremony. The students explained what Veterans Day was about while honoring these special heroes. Individuals were recognized who served in the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy in World War II, Korea, Vietnam or Afghanistan.
