The Holy Redeemer-St. James Boy Scout Troop 317 held its Court of Honor and Christmas party on Dec. 12 at Holy Redeemer Healy Hall. Several Scouts received hard-earned merit badges and patches, including the one-of-a-kind Solar Eclipse patch of Aug. 21. For their hard work, commitment, and dedication to the ideals of scouting, Edward Vu was awarded the rank of Tenderfoot and Ethan Arellano was honored with the Life Scout rank.

Following the ceremony was the Christmas party where everyone enjoyed sharing a meal and had a great time with games and gift exchanges.
