300 block of Evelyn Street in La Crescenta, someone entered a backyard and stole a vehicle ramp between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, someone entered a locked vehicle while parked at the United Artist Theater parking lot and stole the side view mirrors. The window control panels on the driver’s and passenger side of the vehicle were damaged between 7 p.m. and 9:40 p.m.

101 block of Olive Lane in La Cañada, someone took a UPS package from a resident’s front porch without his permission. The resident checked the tracking status of the package when he had not received it and discovered it had been delivered to his home. The incident occurred on Dec. 27.

1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada, the passenger and driver’s side rear view mirrors were stolen form a vehicle while it was parked in the United Artist Theater parking lot between 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a man reportedly entered the Office Depot store and approached the store manager and asked about a personal computer tablet on display. He allegedly told the manager he wanted to purchase the computer. The man asked the manager about several items throughout the store. At one point the manager left the computer on a counter, walked over to another item and the man grabbed the computer and ran out the door at 8:17 p.m.

12800 block of Maclay Street in Sylmar, a 27-year-old Sylmar woman was arrested for possession of a firearm, suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff deputies from CV Sheriff’s Station conducted a probation compliance search of the suspect’s residence and discovered the items at 6:30 a.m.

2800 block of Mary Street in La Crescenta, someone broke into a resident’s basement and stole tools, a microphone set and a metal gun safe (no weapons inside) overnight.

2900 Franklin Street in La Crescenta, clothing and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
