Jan. 4

4300 block of Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada, a resident received an alert from his Ring Doorbell. He checked the video and observed two men wearing hoodies jumping over his front porch railing. He contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept.- CV Station who arrived and conducted a search but was unable to locate any suspects.

A portion of the rear kitchen door glass panel was smashed.

The incident occurred at 7:24 p.m.

900 block of Green Lane in La Cañada, a glass window in a resident’s bedroom was shattered. Upon investigation it was found the master bedroom was ransacked and jewelry and personal information was stolen between 6:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.

 

Jan. 2

2200 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, a woman reported that at about 2 a.m. she received a text message from a person she had known for about two years. She had refused to start a relationship with him and she didn’t understand the message so she dismissed it. That morning when she went out to her vehicle she discovered both of her car mirrors had been shattered. Something had been etched on the hood of her vehicle. She reported that due to the text message received earlier and that she had a difficult relationship with the man, she felt he was the one who vandalized her vehicle. Two additional vehicles, similar in look to the woman’s car, had also been vandalized in the same parking complex.

The vandalism occurred overnight.

Dec. 30

5100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident reported returning home to find the interior light of his truck was on, the trunk open and the doors of his car unlocked.

A voltage tester was stolen between 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

800 block of La Porte Drive in La Cañada, the passenger and driver’s side rear windows were shattered and a wallet was stolen between midnight and 4:30 a.m.

Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road at mile marker 1.28 in Angeles National Forest, the rear driver’s side window was smashed and the rear driver’s side tire was slashed between 10 a.m. to
3 p.m.

Angeles Crest Highway, mile marker 52.05, a woman had parked her vehicle at the location and later stated she noticed two men near a parked white van with glass on the ground near the vehicle. She thought they may have burglarized the vehicle but was unsure. The men drove away from the area in a white late 2000 Nissan vehicle. She left her vehicle and went for a hike. During her hike an unknown hiker approached her and showed a photo of the rear window of her vehicle shattered. She went to her vehicle and found the broken glass as well as several items stolen from her car.

The theft occurred between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

700 block of La Porte Drive in La Cañada, the rear passenger window was smashed and cash, a laptop computer and other personal items were stolen from a vehicle at 3:13 a.m.

1000 block of Salisbury Court in La Cañada, the driver’s side window was smashed at 9:14 a.m.

 

Dec. 28

800 block of Greenridge Drive in La Cañada, a glass sliding glass door and a glass window were shattered at a residence between 5:10 p.m. and
8:30 p.m.

 

Dec. 27

200 block of Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada, the driver’s side door keyhole was damaged on a vehicle between 10:08 a.m. and 10:21 a.m.
