At about 4 a.m. Saturday morning there was a call to Glendale police reporting a stabbing in the 3700 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta. Officials said that the stabbing occurred during a party. The victim, a male in his 20s, was not critically injured and was not transported to a hospital. When police arrived the suspect had fled the scene.
Later, at 6 a.m., a nearby neighbor discovered a male Hispanic matching the stabbing suspect’s description sleeping in the shed in her backyard. He has tattoos around his neck indicating that he is a member of a gang. When police arrived, the male had left the location. Police believe he is still in the area and have established a perimeter. Canine units are now searching the nearby neighborhoods.
Anyone with any information or who has seen the suspect is asked to call 911 and to not approach the suspect.
