900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a shopper reported placing her purse in her shopping cart and before browsing around the store. She was reportedly confronted by a male, described as Hispanic, who began speaking to her about a toilet brush kit. The woman/victim’s attention was drawn away from her purse. The victim did not understand what the man was saying because he spoke Spanish and she did not. She turned back to her cart and saw another male, described as Hispanic who was wearing a black sweater, black pants and black glasses. He was carrying a black satchel and was walking away from her. The victim then discovered her wallet and cellphone had been taken from her purse. The victim chased the second suspect and demanded her wallet and phone be returned. The suspect handed her the wallet but said he did not have her phone. She was unable to locate the other suspect.
The theft occurred at 11:25 a.m.
4800 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a burglar alarm at a home. When they arrived they found no suspects and cleared the residence. The resident reviewed his home surveillance footage and saw a male (Suspect 1) and female (Suspect 2) knocking on his door. Suspect 1 was seen wearing a grey sweater with red stripes, blue jeans, black facemask and red hat. He was holding a multi-colored umbrella. Suspect 2 was wearing a black coat, blue jeans, glasses and carrying a multi-colored bag while holding a black umbrella. They knocked at the resident’s door for several minutes. Suspect 2 then walked away; the male stayed at the door and then another male (Suspect 3) showed up. He was wearing a grey sweater and black pants and was carrying a black backpack. Suspects 1 and 3 were seen walking around the property and out of view of the camera. After seeing this the resident immediately went home and discovered the rear sliding glass door was open and rooms had been ransacked.
Numerous items were reported stolen between 1:04 p.m. and 1:23 p.m.

Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, the door key lock was punched and personal items were stolen from a vehicle while its owner was hiking from 9 a.m. to 1:40 p.m.

Jan. 12
300 block of Corona Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident returned to find several rooms in his home had been ransacked and numerous items were stolen. A wooden door was damaged as well.
The residential burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Jan. 11
1900 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle overnight.
2800 block of Paraiso Way in La Crescenta, a resident had ordered items and was notified that they had been delivered to her home. She went to her residence and saw two boxes on her front porch but found them empty. Her neighbor reported that she had witnessed a man, described as White, standing next to a white pick-up near the area. He dropped two boxes in the street; a neighbor picked up the boxes, found the address and returned the neighbor’s empty boxes to her home.
The theft occurred between 10:40 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Jan. 9
800 block of Salisbury Road in La Cañada Flintridge, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between Jan. 9-11.
Jan. 8
1500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to an alarm at a business where they found a glass door shattered. Security footage revealed a male, described as about 30 years old, 5’8” tall and weighing about 200 lbs., exit the passenger side of a vehicle. The suspect stood in front of the business and smoked a cigarette, then broke the glass door of the location and entered the business. As the suspect entered the building he dropped what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun. He then went to the area of the cash register and looked around. He did not take anything and left the business. The suspect then entered the passenger side of the same vehicle he had exited earlier and it drove away from the scene.
The vehicle was described as a light colored sedan. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a hat, grey hoodie, dark colored shorts and black shoes.
The incident occurred at 1:28 a.m.

4700 block of Oak Grove Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle between 5 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 6.
1800 block of Earlmont Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a window was broken at a residence, rooms were ransacked and several items were stolen between 9 a.m. and 12:06 p.m.
600 block of Knight Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 7 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 2:25 p.m. on Jan. 6.
Jan. 4
Angeles Crest Highway in the Angeles National Forest, two people parked their vehicle in the area and went on a hike in the forest. They returned and after getting home realized personal information including credit cards were missing. They also noticed the lock on their vehicle had been tampered with. It was found that person/persons had used the victims’ credit cards without their permission.
The theft occurred between 12:52 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
