LCFOG Asks ‘Who Wants Pizza?’

The La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild (LCFOG) will hold a fundraising event at Round Table Pizza, 502 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The public is invited to place their order any time from noon until 8 p.m., dine in or take home, their choice.

Diners are requested to place their ticket stubs for pizza purchases in a special receipt box at the counter where members of LCFOG will greet diners.

There will also be a 50-50 raffle with tickets available for purchase throughout the day. The 50-50 raffle is open to anyone and the winner need not be present for the drawing if they have deposited their portion of the raffle ticket with their name and phone number on it. The raffle drawing will take place at 8 p.m.

DeeDee Nuanes is chairperson for this LCFOG event. Nuanes received her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and her juris doctorate degree at Loyola Law School. She has been a member of the California State Bar for 40 years and has served as mediator, arbitrator and judge pro tem of the municipal court. As a volunteer she served LCFOG since 2018 in several capacities.

During the year, members of LCFOG work on activities that will allow them to benefit  Luskin OIC (Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children). Luskin OIC has never turned away a child for lack of funds or insurance in over 112 years when Dr. Charles LeRoy Lowman started treating crippled children in his clinic at the University of Southern California’s Graves Memorial Clinic. LCFOG’s goal is never to let any child with orthopaedic issues go unattended. That goal is realized by the doctors and surgeons at Luskin OIC.

All are invited to join LCFOG members for pizza on Jan. 25 from noon to 8 p.m.
