1000 block of Fairview Drive in La Cañada, a brief case was stolen and the front passenger side window of a vehicle was shattered overnight.

300 block St. Katherine Drive in La Cañada,  a resident reported that someone had entered her unlocked home and stole a digital camera, umbrella, duffle bags, a wallet and a purse along with her car keys which they used to steal her vehicle. The resident reported she woke up at 5:30 a.m. to the sound of the front door closing. She also heard people “hanging out” just outside her home late the night before. She reported the incident at 5:30 a.m.

2400 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, both tires on the driver’s side of a vehicle were slashed. The owner of the vehicle was at a party in a nearby apartment between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
2600 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, a woman reported that she awoke to loud sounds of a party in a nearby apartment. She looked outside her window and noticed several people standing around her vehicle.  She went outside and discovered the driver’s side tire of her vehicle had been slashed between 7 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a 19-year-old La Cañada man and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested on suspicion of possession of a narcotic. According to the CV Sheriff’s report, the 19-year-old was found with three sealed bags that were allegedly filled with a marijuana-like substance and three apparent marijuana cigarettes were found in the man’s vehicle ashtray. The suspects allegedly told the deputies that they had been attempting to sell “oregano” packaged to look like marijuana to students at Rosemont Middle School as a way to make money. They insisted the substance inside the cellophane bags was oregano. The substance is being analyzed by the L.A. Sheriff’s crime lab. The arrests occurred at 3:45 p.m.
Oakwood Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that as she was sitting in her vehicle parked in the former Calvary Chapel parking lot, a man described as Hispanic, 5’2”, 135 pounds in his 30s approached her. He tapped on the vehicle’s window. When she rolled it down, he asked her for a quarter. She said she did not have any change.  He then opened the unlocked car door and grabbed the woman’s arm and attempted to pull her from the car. She began screaming and pushed the suspect in the chest. He ran down the street and entered the passenger side of a black “newer” pick-up truck with tinted windows. The vehicle fled the scene at 1:15 p.m.

1500 block of Sugarloaf Drive in La Cañada, several pieces of equipment was stolen from a residence under construction overnight.

300 block of Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada, someone broke a glass pane window of a home reported at 3:20 a.m.
Sharon and Fairmont avenues in La Crescenta, a 50-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested for suspicion of possession of an illegal substance, suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of prescription medicine after his vehicle was stopped on a traffic violation at 11:10 p.m.
2400 block of Florencita Drive in Montrose, a 26-year-old Montrose man was arrested on two warrants at 2 p.m.
2400 block of Florencita Drive in Montrose, a 32-year-old Apple Valley woman was allegedly found to be in possession of stolen clothing at 2:10 p.m.

Florencita Drive and Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a 27-year-old Los Angeles woman was arrested for driving under the influence after deputies witnessed her exiting the freeway, crossing into another lane where she came close to colliding with another vehicle.  She then drove down Montrose Avenue at a high rate of speed at 12:50 a.m.
