300 block of Saint Katherine Drive in La Cañada, deputies responded to the location after a front door alarm sensor had been activated. The front and rear doors were found open. The garage had been ransacked. The front door to the residence was broken as if someone attempted to kick it in. It did not appear the suspect gained entrance to the house.

The incident occurred at 1:30 p.m.

 

 

Jan. 15

4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, a vehicle was vandalized with a sharp instrument that left scratches along the car’s body. The victim stated this could be related to a road rage incident that occurred in December 2019.

The vandalism occurred overnight.

 

 

Jan. 10

300 block of Corona Drive in La Cañada, a residential mailbox was damaged and mail apparently stolen. The resident said her mailbox had been broken into and items stolen on several occasions; she has placed a surveillance camera near the mailbox.

The footage revealed a man wearing black shoes, black jacket with a hood, blue pants and blue hat exit his two-door silver Acura RSX. He pulled his jacket’s hood over his head and walked toward the mailbox. Using an object he brought with him he pried open mailboxes belonging to the victim and a neighbor and took items.

He then returned to his vehicle and left the area at 6:53 a.m.
