2400 block of Honolulu Avenue in Montrose, two suspects entered Trader Joe’s market and attempted to take merchandise out of the store without attempting to pay. The two male suspects, described as white in their 20s, ran out of the store, dropping the items they were attempting to steal and got into a waiting white Jeep Cherokee. The driver, another white male in his 20s, made a hazardous U-turn in front of the store on Honolulu Avenue and sped off. The incident occurred about 3 p.m.

2700 block of Timberlake Street in La Crescenta, a resident noticed the front door of her vehicle was ajar and several items stolen overnight.

3900 block of Orangedale Avenue in Montrose, a vehicle was damaged by someone marking the truck with black marker overnight.

2200 block of Mira Vista Street in Montrose, the rear passenger window was smashed on a vehicle between 1:20 p.m. and 2:20 p.m.
Dartmouth Place in La Cañada Flintridge, the resident returned home and a neighbor’s gardener told him that he had seen a black SUV parked in front of his house at about 11 a.m.
According to the report, there were two Hispanic men in the vehicle. When they saw him, the car drove slowly around the cul-de-sac and then stopped in front of the gardener. The man in the passenger side asked him gardening questions and then drove away. The gardener was suspicious and told the resident when he returned. The resident walked to the side of his home and noticed the side gate was open, a step stool placed below the master bedroom window and the window screen removed. He also saw the sliding glass door leading to his master bedroom was open. The bedroom was ransacked with jewelry and paintings were stolen. The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and noon.
