4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Crescenta, a resident left his home in the morning and returned home to find a broken glass window and open front door. The residence had been ransacked and an Xbox was stolen between 7:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Jan. 30
4700 block of Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, the left rear passenger window of a vehicle was shattered overnight.

3100 block of Los Olivos Lane in La Crescenta, the windshield was smashed on a vehicle sometime between August 2015 and Jan. 30.

2700 block of El Caminito Street in La Crescenta, someone shattered the rear window of a vehicle with a rock overnight.

800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a cellphone was stolen from a display in a store. An employee reported a man and woman entered his store and while one suspect appeared to be watching for store employees, the other took the cellphone from its battery cover that was secured to the counter. They both fled the store quickly. The theft occurred at 7:43 p.m.

2600 Seapine Lane in La Crescenta, a laptop and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 5 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
Jan. 28
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee reported witnessing a man placing an “unusually” large amount of beauty related items into a shopping cart. The man then walked over to the liquor aisle where the witness lost sight of him. As the witness was searching for him the man walked toward the front of the store with the shopping cart full of items; however, he did not take the cart out of the building apparently because there were several employees at the front door. The man left the cart and fled to the parking lot and drove away. Later an employee noticed 10 bottles of vodka were missing. It is assumed the man left the store with the liquor hidden in his clothing.
The incident occurred at 5:42 p.m.
Jan. 27
4000 block of Oakgrove Drive in La Cañada, a student was cited for suspicion of possession of marijuana at La Cañada High School. A narcotics dog “hit” on a vehicle and after an investigation marijuana was discovered in the vehicle belonging to the student’s family. The incident occurred at noon.

2700 block of Starfall Drive in La Crescenta, a package was stolen from the front porch of a home at about 4:50 a.m.
Jan. 23
3000 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident came home from a vacation and noticed damage to a front window. It appears the window was damaged with a BB gun. The vandalism occurred between Jan. 15 and Jan. 23.
