Foothill Boulevard and Woodward Avenue in Sunland, a deputy noticed a 53-year-old La Crescenta man leaning against his bicycle that was against a planter at the corner of the location. He was slouched, according to the deputy’s report, with his head facing the ground appearing as if he was sick or injured. The deputy stopped to assist the man and asked for his identification. After an investigation, he found the man was on probation for possession of a controlled substance and had an outstanding warrant. The deputy found drug paraphernalia, a pipe that had a black crystalline substance resembling methamphetamine. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Indian Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a parking sign was defaced at the location overnight.

Berkshire Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, a woman reported that as she was driving her vehicle she noticed an SUV driving “extremely” close behind her. The other vehicle had very bright lights, according to the report. She stopped at an intersection and the SUV pulled onto the side of oncoming traffic and stopped parallel to her vehicle. The man, who was sitting on the passenger side, suddenly threw an egg at the front door of the woman’s vehicle. Her window was down; the egg went into the vehicle causing damage.
The incident occurred at 12:30 a.m.

200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a deputy noticed a person, later identified as a 31-year-old Glendale man, sitting in a truck parked on the street. They stopped to see if he needed assistance. The vehicle smelled of marijuana, according to the report, and the deputy found a “bong” – a large, glass water pipe often used for smoking marijuana – on the dash of the vehicle. The man said he was working on his computer. The deputy asked the man to step out of the vehicle. He was allegedly belligerent toward the deputy.
He was arrested for being intoxicated [marijuana] in public at 9:28 a.m.

Angeles Crest Highway and Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, after deputies conducted a traffic stop for expired registration they arrested the driver, a 37-year-old El Monte man, who had five outstanding warrants in his name and was driving on a suspended license at 11 p.m.
5600 block of Bramblewood Road in La Cañada, a woman reported returning home to find the door from her kitchen to the garage was open; she had locked it before she left for the day. She immediately contacted the sheriff’s station.
Deputies found her home had been ransacked and jewelry had been stolen between 9:25 a.m. and 2:55 p.m.
