By Mary O’KEEFE

Glendale police have identified a suspect in the vehicle burglaries that swept through a far north Glendale neighborhood overnight Jan. 30 to Jan. 31.

“They have a [suspect] identified and an arrest is imminent,” said Sgt. Daniel Suttles.

The vehicles were parked in the Glendale area near Montrose and Pennsylvania avenues. The GPD believes there were at least three suspects involved in the vehicle burglaries. Some cars were unlocked and others locked.

The suspect the police have identified does have a history of vehicle burglaries. In addition to the burglaries, two vehicles were stolen, which have since been recovered.

La Crescenta and La Cañada have also seen quite a few vehicle burglaries. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. – Crescenta Valley Station are working with GPD.

“We sharing information,” said Sgt. Alan Chu, CV Station.

Both Suttles and Chu remind residents to lock their car doors, remove any valuables from the vehicle and if anyone sees anything suspicious to call law enforcement immediately.
