3900 block of Alta Vista Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a man reported that while he was inside his residence his wife saw an individual looking into their home through a rear sliding glass door. A review of surveillance footage revealed two unknown suspects climbing over a side gate into the backyard. Suspect No. 2 looked at the camera in the backyard, walked up to it and repositioned the camera in an attempt to prevent it from capturing their actions. The suspects walked around the property, both holding cellphones to their ears; they looked through the windows then suddenly began running back toward the yard gate and exited the area, apparently after seeing the homeowners in the house. The suspects ran to a waiting newer model SUV that was driven by a third suspect.
The incident occurred at 3:48 p.m.
