LASD, GPD Report on Probation- Parole Compliance Operation

Due to the recent increase in property crimes and residential burglaries in the area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Community Oriented Policing Teams in conjunction with the Glendale Police Department, Los Angeles County Probation and State Parole have joined forces to conduct a multi-jurisdictional Probation / Parole Compliance Operation. The areas include La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Montrose, Sunland-Tujunga, Lake View Terrace, Pasadena and Altadena.

There were a total of 44 locations checked to confirm parole-probation condition compliance. Twenty-two were determined to have been in compliance; however, eight individuals were arrested for felonies, including parolees at large, parole and probation violations, child endangerment, and marijuana cultivation at a residence in Altadena. Three firearms were also seized.

The community is encouraged to partner with law enforcement to prevent or report crime by contacting the local Sheriff’s station. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call “LA Crime Stoppers” by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477), texting the letters TIPLA plus the tip to CRIMES (274637), or using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org
