Allegations Raised Against Mt. Gleason Teacher

Los Angeles Unified School District has released a statement concerning allegations against at teacher at Mt. Gleason Middle School in Tujunga.
“As a result of recent allegations, a teacher has been removed from Mt. Gleason Middle School. The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is working with law enforcement and at its direction cannot disclose the details at this time,” according to the LAUSD statement.
“We are investigating, there have been no arrest [at this time],” said Officer Joseph Cleon, L.A. Police Department spokesman.
The teacher in question has been removed from the classroom, said an LAUSD spokeswoman.
The allegations concern inappropriate contact, Cleo said.
Crisis counselors and psychiatric social workers are available to work with students that might be impacted by the removal of the teacher.
The District takes each and every reported act of misconduct seriously. We are committed to aggressively pursuing each case to determine the truth and, if necessary, initiate the appropriate disciplinary measures.
