Cold, Rainy, Weather Ushers in Weekend
The Crescenta Valley coped with cold temperatures and wet weather on Friday. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – NOAA – rain will continue, heavy at times with some thunder also possible. Snow may also be arriving in the foothill communities in the early morning hours. Low around 42. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
On Saturday, scattered snow showers before 10 a.m., then scattered rain showers. Slight chance of thunderstorms are possible. Partly sunny, with temperature falling to around 39 by 5 p.m. West southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. On Saturday night there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m. Patchy frost after 10 p.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind around 5 mph becoming north.
CVCA Hosting Candidate Forum
The Crescenta Valley Community Association is hosting a forum tonight, Friday, for the Glendale City Council candidates. The forum takes place at 7 p.m. at the Dunsmore Park Community Room at 4700 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta. Audience members will have the opportunity to pose questions for the candidates who will be on the April 5 ballot.
