A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for the Los Angeles County including Tujunga,  Crescenta Valley and La Cañada Flintridge until 8:45 p.m. tonight.

“There is a very heavy band of rain developing,[with]  a high rain rate of [possibly] an inch an hour, ” said Bonnie Bartlett, weather specialist with the National Weather Service, Oxnard.

The storm will have varying bands of rain with some stronger than others, she added.
