Feb. 22

1100 block of Descanso Drive in La Cañada, a man had just delivered a pizza in the area when he was approached by two men described as Hispanic wearing black hoodies. The men walked up to the driver side of the pizza delivery person and forcefully pulled him out of his car. One of the suspects placed his hand under his sweater indicating he had a gun. The suspects demanded the victim give them his cellphone, wallet and all money in his possession. The two suspects fled on foot at 9:20 p.m.

 

900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada, two suitcases containing several items including an iWatch, iPad, several other technology devices and clothes were stolen from the trunk of a vehicle that was parked in a lot at the location between 12:10 p.m. and 12:35 p.m.

 

4800 block of Hampton Road in La Cañada, a resident returned home to find several rooms had been ransacked. She reported leaving a window open at her home and when she returned found the window screen had been taken out and placed on the ground. A safe, jewelry and coins had been stolen between 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

 

Feb. 21

4200 block of Lenzgrove Lane in La Cañada, a resident arrived home and parked his vehicle inside the garage. He placed his hockey bag and hockey equipment including uniforms on the ground next to vehicle. He had thought the garage door had been closed by a family member but the next morning he realized the garage door had been left open and his items were stolen overnight.

 

Feb. 16

300 block of Canon de Paraiso in La Cañada, when a woman was reviewing her checking account she discovered funds withdrawn from her account without her permission. She immediately contacted her bank, closed her accounts  and set up new accounts with new credit cards. The discovery was found at 10:30 a.m.

 

Feb. 7

2300 block of Rockdell Street in La Crescenta, a woman received a phone call from someone she did not know. The caller stated the woman had a virus and he would be able to remove the virus if she would allow him to access her computer remotely. She granted him access and reported seeing changes being made on her computer screen remotely. After about two hours the person asked for the resident’s bank account information so he could collect the funds for fixing the online issues. The man did not give an amount he would charge. The resident later found that a large amount of funds had been taken from her account. The incident occurred  between Feb 7 and Feb 15.
