“I am so proud and honored by the outpouring of the electorates,” Devine said.

She worked hard this campaign season and tried to keep it as “clean and fair” as she could.

Newly elected councilmember Dan Brotman shared Devine’s pride.

“I feel proud of the campaign we ran. We didn’t have the institutional backing or money of the more established candidates but we made up for it with the passion of volunteers who believed in my message around the environment, housing, transportation, safe streets, more thoughtful development, and a City that truly respects the voice of the residents,” said Brotman. “The people of Glendale want real change. I’m looking forward to being part of making that change happen.”

As Glendale City Clerk Ardy Kassakhian is used to staying up late on election nights, but Tuesday night was a bit differen – this time he was the candidate. He feels that working with the City Council is a calling.
