Glendale Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two teenage boys who are suspected of stealing cellphones on Feb. 6 and Feb. 8 at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at 3701 Ocean View Blvd. in Montrose.
In both incidents, Suspect 1 asked a female victim if he could borrow her phone to call his mother. In one incident, a second boy ran up and took the phone and then both boys fled away together. In a second incident, Suspect 2 held the door open for Suspect 1 as he ran away with the victim’s phone. Both boys reportedly ran to a waiting vehicle and then fled the location. Both incidents occurred on weekdays between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Suspect 1 is described as a 16-year-old boy, skinny, 5’7” tall with light brown hair. Suspect 2 is described as a 16-year-old boy, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, 150 to 170 pounds with curly black hair. The suspect’s vehicle is described a black two-door, possibly a Honda Accord or similar.
