2300 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, the rear window of a hatchback was broken with an unknown object overnight.

2100 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a 32-inch flat screen television and a laptop computer were stolen from a home between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.

200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a purse, wallet and sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at St. Bede’s Catholic Church parking lot between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
1000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a purse was stolen and the door keyhole was “punched out” of a vehicle parked in the underground parking structure at Dilbeck Real Estate between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
March 4
4400 block of Fairway Drive and Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, a 31-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested for receiving stolen property, being in possession of burglary tools and a parole violation. A witness flagged down a deputy patrol car and reported seeing a suspicious man sitting on a mountain bike near the witness’ neighborhood. The witness was concerned because there had been numerous vehicle burglaries in the area. Deputies found the man matching the description given by the witness sitting next to a red mountain bike. The deputy recognized the La Crescenta man as a known parolee who had been in recent crime bulletins within the last year at the Crescenta Valley Station.
The man allegedly told the deputy he was on an active parole for narcotics. After an investigation the deputy found a credit card in the man’s possession that did not appear to belong to him.
A mini flashlight and spring loaded pointed metal device commonly used to commit vehicle burglaries were also found in the man’s possession. The bicycle was allegedly found to match the description of one stolen earlier. The arrest occurred at 5:15 a.m.
600 Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 30-year-old Tujunga woman was arrested for petty theft, shoplifting, after she was observed exiting TJ Maxx with items she did not attempt to pay for at 6:25 p.m.
4600 block of Viro Road in La Cañada, a laptop computer and Sony game system were stolen from a home. Several rooms had been ransacked between 8:10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
March 2
Foothill Boulevard and Crown Avenue in La Cañada, a 25-year-old Temple City man was cited for driving on a suspended license at 4:50 p.m.
March 1
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 44-year-old transient man was arrested for disorderly conduct. According to the deputy’s report, the man was found at Ralph’s Market. He appeared to have been drinking. He was unable to answer basic questions like his birth date or where he lived. He was arrested at 10:45 a.m.
Feb. 28
2200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 1969 blue Chevy Blazer was stolen from in front of the location between 12 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Big Tujunga Canyon Road and Rancho Ibarra, Angeles National Forest, a 26-year-old man and a 19-year-old man both from Fresno were arrested for possession of an unregistered gun and transportation for sale of marijuana. Deputies allegedly witnessed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. They stopped the vehicle and found the two suspects. After an investigation a handgun was found on the floorboard of the vehicle near one of the suspect’s feet. The gun was reportedly loaded with one live round in the chamber and six live rounds in the magazine. The gun was off safety with the hammer back and ready to fire.Deputies also allegedly found two large black trash bags containing several smaller bags of marijuana. They estimated the weight to be between 10 to 15 pounds. The arrest occurred at 1:36 a.m.
