LWV and CVCA Hosting Forums
The League of Women Voters of Glendale/Burbank is holding a candidates’ forum tonight, Thursday, March 14 in the Glendale City Council chambers beginning at 6 p.m. The address is 613 E. Broadway, Glendale. The forum will include the candidates for the city council and city clerk.
Questions from the public for the candidates can be submitted via telephone (818) 925-4598 or email mailto: CandidateForum@lwvglendaleburbank.org. The forum is open to the public and written questions can be submitted on the night of the forum.
The Crescenta Valley Community Assn. presents a candidates forum for the Glendale City Clerk and GUSD board of education on Thursday, March 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta.

Cesar Chavez Celebration
On Saturday, March 30 the City of Glendale is celebrating the life and legacy of Cesar Chavez. This year marks the 12th Annual Cesar Chavez Event in Glendale and will include free carne asada and chicken tacos from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (or until food runs out) for attending guests.
The free event will showcase local musical and dance performers and guest speakers. There will be activities and a raffle for attending children with prizes including two bikes, donated by Allan Company Recycling Services.

Arbor Day Celebration Planned
The Crescenta Valley Town Council will be hosting its annual Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. to noon at Two-Strike Park. The theme this year is “The Great Outdoors,” celebrating the improvements seen in local parks over the last year including the dog park, new hiking trails, new playground equipment and two new mini-parks.
