The community is invited to the Glendale Elks 27th Annual Charity Car Show, which will be held on Sunday, March 19 at the Elks lodge at 120 E. Colorado St. beginning at 9 a.m.

There will be a variety of vehicles from all eras that will be competing in specific categories, from Model As to hot rods and other classic vehicles.

The annual car show is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Glendale Elks and includes a silent auction, raffle prizes and DJ music.

“We will be serving breakfast beginning at 9 a.m.,” said Jack Wright, Elks member and co-chair of the event.

Breakfast is served until 11 a.m. and although entrance into the car show is free breakfast tickets are $15 each.

“After 11 a.m. we will have a booth set up outside [the Elks lodge] selling hotdogs and hamburgers,” Wright added. The cost for lunch varies.

There will be many ways to support Elks in addition to purchasing breakfast and lunch. There will be tickets for its themed baskets in the raffle, which include amazing items like a three-night/four-day stay at an Arrowhead cabin.

Funds from this event support the Elks and their outreach for children charities including providing scholarships for high school students and handing out dictionaries for Glendale third graders. The lodge also supports several veteran organizations.

Entrance to the event is free but there is a charge for food. The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
