An emergency pipeline repair on Saturday night had numerous customers without water service for several hours. This was the second water interruption of the week; the first was on Wednesday affecting many of the same customers, according to Christy Colby, spokeswoman for Crescenta Valley Water District.

The pipeline was located at Ocean View Boulevard near the on-ramps and off-ramps of the Foothill (210) Freeway. Ocean View was closed in both directions from Montrose Avenue north to Waltonia Drive as were the on-ramps and off-ramps while repairs were made by CVWD crews.

The exact cause of the break in the pipeline is being analyzed by CVWD and more information will be available next week, Colby said.

At the time of the incident CVWD issued a statement apologizing for any inconvenience. Those with questions or comments concerning this outage can contact CVWD Customer Service at (818) 248-3925 or via email at customerservice@cvwd.com.
