ANF Roads Re-opening Today Says Public Works

FOREST ROADS WILL RE-OPEN TO TRAFFIC TODAY BY 5:00 PM

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works has announced the re-opening of the following roads in the Angeles National Forest that were closed on Saturday, March 17, 2012, due to snow and icy conditions:

  • Angeles Forest Highway from Aliso Canyon Road to Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road
  • Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Angeles Forest Highway to SR-2 (Angeles Crest Highway)

The roads will re-open, today, Monday, March 19 by 5 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling all mountain roads during the winter as icy conditions may be present.

Residents, business owners including persons with access and functional needs may also call 2-1-1 for LA County information and referral services regarding post disaster resources that are available to those affected by the floods and debris and mud flow.
