What started out as a passion for cars has turned into a gathering of hundreds of car enthusiasts for a local realtor.

Sandy Kobeissi said her husband’s passions are real estate and cars, which is easy to see when you enter the Kobeissi Property office in La Cañada Flintridge. The first thing visitors notice is the office has a car … in the lobby.

Kobeissi found people as passionate as he about cars and they began meeting at the office.

“It started a year after we opened,” Kobeissi said. That was about four years ago and now about 100 cars visit the Kobeissi office on the first Saturday of the month.

“We serve coffee and a light breakfast,” Kobeissi said.

It has become a great way to network with others who have the same interests while getting to know the larger car community.

“There are regulars and a lot of new [visitors],” Kobeissi said. “They come from all over.”

Those who love to drive come from as far away as Laguna, Newport Beach and Beverly Hills. A Lamborghini club stops by for their Saturday morning coffee and car conversation.

Coffee and cars is the first Thursday of every month from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Kobeissi Property, 711 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
