The Crescenta Valley Water District (CVWD) conducted a public opinion survey in February and after considering concerns within the community about utility rates has decided to delay rate increases.

In a statement sent to customers, CVWD stated, “While future increases will be necessary to keep pace with growing costs, CVWD is committed to creating more efficiencies, maximizing state and federal dollars, and increasing public education about our infrastructure investments. Neighboring water agencies are experiencing historic rate increases of 15% or more each year over the next five years, reflecting regional trends in infrastructure needs, regulatory compliance, and resource availability.”
