The male suspect who was the center of a burglary investigation that began on Thursday and included both Los Angeles County Sheriffs and the Glendale Police Dept. has been arrested.
On Thursday late afternoon a burglary occurred in the Highridge Road area of La Crescenta. It was alleged the suspect stole a shotgun from the victim’s residence. Deputies conducted a search of the neighborhoods. Later that night and the next day Glendale police received information someone matching the description of the suspect was apparently seen with a shotgun in the Glendale area of Markridge Road. A search continued throughout the weekend.
The suspect allegedly then stole a bike from an open garage in the area. He had also hidden the shotgun in bushes in a nearby yard. The gun was discovered by law enforcement.
LASD detectives worked throughout the weekend, along with GPD. They discovered the suspect in Tujunga on Sunday afternoon about 3 p.m.
The 25-year-old suspect was well known to local law enforcement. He has been charged with two counts of burglary, one count of residential burglary, one count of possession of ammunition, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.
