The La Crescenta man – Vahan Keshishyan – who has been charged with one count of murder had his recent competency hearing continued to April 5.

According to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, the April 5 court date will be held at Pasadena Superior Court, Dept. 103.

Keshishyan, 28, is still in custody. On Feb. 14 the suspect allegedly murdered Ordean Neva, 63, who was working as a pool man at a La Crescenta residence. The victim died of “multiple sharp injuries,” according to the LA Coroner’s Office.

The weapon allegedly used by Keshishyan was a machete, according to a Glendale police spokesman.

In the weeks prior to the Feb. 14 incident, GPD was dispatched to the home in response to a report of an assault.
