The California statewide direct primary election will be held on June 7. Voters will be asked to cast their ballots on several initiatives and for several candidates.
Here are a few important dates to remember:
March 11
The last date candidates could file nomination documents.
March 31
The last day the Secretary of State can transmit the certified list of candidates.
May 9
Registered voters should receive their vote-by-mail ballots no later than 29 days before the day of the election. The mailings will begin no later than May 9.
May 17
Official Sample Ballot booklets will be mailed.
May 23
The last day to register to vote in the primary election.
