Glendale Community College has announced that superintendent/president Dr. Dawn Lindsay has accepted the position of college president at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland.
She will begin her new job on Aug. 1. The search for her replacement will be discussed at the next GCC board meeting on April 16.
Lindsay will work with the board of trustees during the transition process, said Wendy Grove, GCC spokeswoman.
The process of finding a new superintendent will take some time.
“It is [likely that] an interim will be named while the search continues,” Grove added.
Lindsay served as interim superintendent/president in 2009 and was named to the position on a permanent basis in 2010. Before serving as interim superintendent she was GCC vice president of Instructional Services beginning in 2007.
She is a native of Maryland.
