Update on Victim of Fallen Tree

By Mary O’KEEFE

Readers of Crescenta Valley Weekly have been asking for an update on the woman who was injured on March 25 when a tree fell in the Glenwood Oaks area. Patricia Kennedy, 76, was walking in the cul-de-sac in the 3900 block of El Lado Drive when a tree fell crushing her legs.

She is still in the hospital recovering from multiple fractures resulting in skin grafts and seven surgeries.

Readers have also asked what they can do to help. The answer is to give blood. Donate blood to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Patricia’s name. Huntington’s blood donation center is called the John and Leora Kerfoot Blood Donor Center and is located at 711 Fairmont Ave., off Fair Oaks Avenue and Congress Street in Pasadena. They do take walk-ins Monday through Thursday beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the last donor accepted at 4:15 p.m. and on Fridays at 7:30 a.m. with the last donor at 2:15 p.m.

For more information, call Huntington Hospital at (626) 421-7733.
