Altadena Death Investigation Reveals Victim Was Burned
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, which occurred on Sunday in the 2600 block of North Windsor Avenue, Altadena.
Detectives have learned that a passerby saw a burning object on the sidewalk at about 6:00am. Upon closer investigation, they realized the object was a human body and called 9-1-1.
Altadena Sheriff’s Station deputies and Pasadena Fire Department firefighters and paramedics responded to the location and confirmed the burned victim was a male adult. (Correction/update: Sun, 2pm: The initial news release incorrectly stated Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are on scene and investigating.
