Rosemont Middle School Principal Dr. Cynthia Livingston released this statement earlier today:

This is Dr. Livingston with some very sad news. I regret to inform you that our Rosemont family has experienced a loss. One of our teachers, Mr. Mark Sanderl, computer teacher, became ill at school on Friday. He was taken to the hospital, but he succumbed to his illness. I wanted to call to let you know so that you can have a chance to talk to your child tonight. Tomorrow morning, the teachers will talk to students directly about the loss, and counselors will be available throughout the day to provide support. This will be a difficult time for us all, but I believe that we will work together to heal as a family. Thank you so much for your ongoing support of our school and Mr. Sanderl’s family.
