The City of Glendale has partnered with the Friends of North Glendale to create welcome signs on Foothill Boulevard. The signs would be placed at the City of Glendale entry points of Lowell Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. The City of Glendale is seeking input from North Glendale residents and businesses to ensure the art is reflective of the community’s personality and style.
The Foothill community is unique in character and should be reflected in this opportunity to create a sign welcoming those who travel to and through Glendale. The final design will be chosen by an independent community panel and published in the Crescenta Valley Weekly. It will then be manufactured into a substantial metal (steel, iron…) pole sign and installed in the public right of way.
If interested in participating, please contact Jacqueline Bartlow at jbartlow@glendaleca.gov or (818) 548-3155 to request a creative brief, the terms & conditions agreement, and the basic signage guidelines. Designs will be accepted through June 1, 2015.
